After a month of running I’m happy to report my resting HR is averaging around 62 beats per minute. My blood pressure is also down, but not to where it needs to be. One cross-training session has been introduced to the mix per week, so I’m now doing some form of moderate-effort cardio four times a week. I’ve got a ball routine I do 5 times a week in the morning to work on flexibility and core strength.
I’m feeling decent, and running up the stairs isn’t nearly as bad as it used to be. Amazing what happens in four weeks, but I’ve got a long way to go. Week 1 of my program has me a couple pounds lighter, too. No complaints here.
