Huzzah, huzzah!
I knew if I wated long enough, the price of a season’s worth of Six Feet Under would fall below $100. Best Buy has Season’s 1-3 for $49.99 CAD now, and if you haven’t ever watched the show, I strongly recommend it. I got Season’s 1 and 2, which will keep me busy now that I’ve finished Lost (yes, I’m kind of ashamed) and Battlestar Galactica 2.5 (what have you done to Starbuck you character-murdering drones?).
Anywho. Great TV that I think is well worth the $50.
🙂 sure. Just what I need. Another box of DVDs to put on the “definitely have to see” pile right next to the “definitely have to read” pile which is just below the “definitely have to listen to” pile. First Lost, then BSG and since both you and Sandra say Six Feet…
I am so doomed, the only thing that saves me is that dastardly shrinkwrap…. 🙂
What was that music again you recommended as a “definitely must hear”?
Sorry ’bout the ‘nonymous part… 🙂
BSG is awesome. I never saw the original series, but I hear it was somewhat campy, or perhaps just that way because of the lumbering Cylons. I Netflixed the miniseries to see if I liked it and I got hooked. I’m on disc 2 of season 2.5 with the current season waiting patiently for me to catch up.
Also, if you really want to add more to the list of must watch DVD’s you should put Homicide: Life on the Street at the top. One of my favorite television shows of all time and I’m still mad that they gave it the craptacular Friday at 10 pm timeslot.
Totally agree with Homicide. I have Season 1, and remember it costing something obscene like $90 at the time. They’re a little harder to find these days, and I should get a few more. Great series.
The other TV show that I’d add to the “must see” category is Sports Night. Phenomenal writing, and great character interplay. Died way, way, way before it’s time. If you’ve never seen it, you should really fix that. 🙂
Also Firefly, but I think pretty much everyone I know has seen the whole series.
…oh, and the music wasn’t must hear, I just liked it. Joel Plaskett Emergency – East coast Canadian Indie Rock.
